Oak Mountain Birthday Hike

My sister and a friend of ours share a birthday, so we decided to do something as a group. They suggested we go for a hike at Oak Mountain, and here are a few pics I got of Peavine Falls. I haven't been to Oak Mountain for years, and it was very nice going back (though climbing all those hills made me realize how out of shape I am xP.) =D

More Droplets

I'm very pleased with how these came out. I used a different lens and it was brighter outside, so I could raise the shutter speed without losing too much light. There's still more noise than I would like, but Lord willing it's only because I don't know how to properly use all of my camera settings yet and it's not because of poor lens quality. I don't usually crank the shutter speed up to 4000, so there's probably some other settings that could be changed that I don't know about. =)

I love the bokeh in this one!

My Nephew at 6 Months

Waterfalls and Droplets

Apparently, there's a lovely little ditch on our neighbor's side of the road, which has cute little waterfalls after it rains. You'll probably be seeing a lot of waterfall pictures in the future. =D

These next three pictures I like, but I'm not super pleased with them. They're not as sharp as I would prefer, and there's a lot of noise, but they're the best I could get, and I'm grateful that I was able to get some that were decent, if not exactly up to my expectations. =)

I am very pleased with this one, though. =D

Looking Back...

While going through pictures, trying to find something to edit, I happened to go to my 'Photo Shoot' folder. A lot of you have probably seen my 'Miss S's Photo Shoot' post. Well, I went back to that folder and looked through the pictures again, and folks, I'm going to be honest...I have been very pleased with all of my photo shoots so far, and by the Lord's goodness they have all turned out to my/my customer's satisfaction. But in all seriousness...looking back over Miss S's photo shoot made me realize that out of all the pictures I've taken, and all the photo shoot's I've had, her's is my favorite. Her lack of shyness in front of the camera, her willingness to pose, and her enthusiasm during the whole shoot made things so easy for me. She's such a sweet, lovely girl and wonderful friend. So, I guess in a way, this is an appreciation post to/for my friend, Miss S. =)

More Macro

I haven't used my kit lens in a long time. For most of my macro pictures, I've had to manually hold a macro lens up to my 50mm 1.8 lens because the macro won't screw on to my 50. Doing that helps my pictures come out a bit sharper, but it makes taking pictures more difficult. So, I got my kit lens back out and played around with it some, and was pleased with the results, shown below. =)

More Random Pics

I took these weeks ago, but didn't feel like editing them, and then I got sick on Christmas and had a fever for four days, and now I'm feeling recovered enough that I actually felt like editing and posting. So, here you go. =)
